Entergy Corporation is a leading electricity producer and distributor in the United States, operating in two segments: Utility and Entergy Wholesale Commodities. The Utility segment generates, transmits, distributes, and sells electric power in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas, including the City of New Orleans, and also distributes natural gas. The Entergy Wholesale Commodities segment owns, operates, and decommissions nuclear power plants, as well as interests in non-nuclear power plants, selling electricity to wholesale customers and providing services to other nuclear power plant owners. With a diverse mix of gas, nuclear, coal, hydro, and solar power sources, the company serves 3 million utility customers and sells energy to various power providers and organizations.
